This coffee was actually destined for America – but Trump kicked it out. So we bought it from the farmers. We call it drinking coffee against Trump. It tastes like justice – and a little bit like revenge.
Although Mexico is not Malawi, we still decided to include this coffee from the indigenous cooperative of the Tzeltal and Tzotzil peoples. With his latent insane customs policy, Trump is not only digging a grave for the US coffee industry (what, coffee from Hawaii isn't enough to supply the US?!) but unfortunately also for producers in the growing countries. Since most of the coffee from Mexican farmers went to the US, they lost their buyer overnight.
We thought this was pretty uncool. So we quickly stepped in as buyers for the coffee from Mexico. And the result will amaze all friends of slightly darker, Italian coffees.
